What will support cost?
Check the support item, hourly or visit rate, travel and cancellation terms before you agree.
What the NDIA figures mean.
The 2026–27 NDIS Pricing Schedule gives guidance on what the NDIA considers appropriate and reasonable maximum prices. You and a provider can negotiate a price, and you must agree before an existing price changes.
These figures are not a Share the Care quote. Your actual support items and charges belong in your service agreement.
Standard personal care and community access
National hourly reference figures.
| When | Per hour |
|---|---|
| Weekday daytime | $73.58 |
| Weekday evening | $81.07 |
| Saturday | $103.54 |
| Sunday | $133.50 |
| Public holiday | $163.46 |
Household support
The support item depends on the activity.
| Activity | Per hour |
|---|---|
| House cleaning and other household activities | $60.10 |
| Personal domestic activities | $61.16 |
Different support items, intensity levels and locations can have different figures. Confirm the item and every charge before booking.

Worker time is not the whole cost.
Booked support time
Agree the tasks, visit length, number of workers and time of day. Ask about waiting time and changes to a visit.
Worker travel and transport
Share the Care has supplied a transport travel cost of $1.00 per kilometre. Also ask about travel to you, vehicle use, parking, tolls and fares.
Tickets, meals and activities
The worker’s assistance is separate from the cost of an entry ticket, meal, class or purchase. Agree who pays each cost.
Cancellations
Check how much notice each side must give and when a cancellation charge can apply. Put those terms in writing.
How the invoice may be handled
Self-managed NDIS funding
Ask for an invoice that identifies the support delivered and agree when and how you will pay it.
Plan-managed NDIS funding
Confirm what the plan manager needs on invoices and where Share the Care will send them.
NDIA-managed NDIS funding
You must use a registered provider. Check that the provider’s registration covers the support and agree how claims will be made.
Private payment
Ask for the service, rate, travel and cancellation terms in writing if you are paying without NDIS funding.
You can make a first enquiry even if you do not know which arrangement applies.
Ask for the total, not just the hourly rate.
- The support item and agreed rate
- Evening, weekend or public-holiday differences
- Visit length and any minimum booking
- Worker travel, vehicle and transport charges
- Tickets, meals or other activity expenses
- Notice periods and cancellation charges
Read the service agreement.
The NDIS says a service agreement helps you and the provider share the same expectations. You can ask for changes and for the agreement in a language, communication method and terms you understand.
