Share the CareAt home and in the community

Questions people ask before starting.

Direct answers about workers, service agreements, costs, referrals and changing providers.

Finding a provider

Do I need an NDIS plan to ask a question?

No. You can ask about a service or private payment before deciding. Share the Care cannot decide NDIS eligibility or funding.

How do I know if Share the Care supports my suburb?

Give the suburb, tasks and preferred times. The team must check worker availability and travel before confirming anything.

What to include in a location enquiry
Can someone contact you for me?

Yes. Tell them what they can share and how you want to be involved. They can call or email and should say that they have permission to share the details.

Workers and agreements

Can I choose my support worker?

The NDIS says you can choose who you work with. Ask Share the Care which worker is available, what experience they have and whether you can meet before regular support begins.

Questions about a proposed worker
What should be in a service agreement?

At minimum, make the supports, prices, payment method and way to change the agreement clear. Also check travel, cancellations, responsibilities and the start date.

How soon can support start?

There is no promised response or start time on this site. A date depends on the suburb, tasks, schedule and a suitable worker being available.

Can I change provider?

Yes. Check your current notice period and any fees, and find a new provider before ending existing support if you need to avoid a gap.

Costs, information and concerns

Are the NDIA figures Share the Care’s prices?

No. They are national reference maximums from the current pricing schedule. Ask Share the Care for the actual support item, rate and every extra charge.

See the reference figures and cost checklist
Should I send my full NDIS plan?

No. Start with contact details, the suburb and broad tasks. If more information is needed, first ask why, who will receive it and how to send it safely.

What information to share
How do I raise a concern?

You can contact Share the Care, ask a trusted person to help, or contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission directly. You do not have to accept threats or poor treatment for speaking up.

Feedback and independent complaints options

Still have a practical question?

Ask it directly. You do not need to choose a service before contacting the team.
